Comprehensive or Master Planning
Related to our Economic Development Strategy practice, we’re often asked to provide economic analysis and strategies in support of broader local and regional master plans. Project types covered in this practice include comprehensive plans, corridor studies, transportation plans, revitalization and redevelopment plans, and housing assessments. Specific work tasks including market overviews, demographic and economic forecasts, projections of supply and demand for housing and commercial space, development and revitalization strategies, and public/private financing strategies, are examples of the deliverables associated with master planning.
“The Town of Amherst has been the economic leader in western New York for the past two decades, over sixteen years ago, David Versel formulated the economic development strategy that is the foundation of our Comprehensive Plan; the plan that guides that effort and balances economic growth with an outstanding living environment. David has been the “go to” person when this community addressed economic development issues. His understanding of the issues and ability to convert that understanding into his research, analysis and recommendations has successfully been implemented and the outcomes right on point.”Eric Gillert | Amherst NY Planning Director
